Andrew has a background in Hospitality and Logistics. He entered the IT industry in the early 00's, after deciding he wanted a change of career.
He graduated from TAFE NSW Sydney Institute (Ultimo) with a Diploma of Information Technology, Network Engineering and was awarded Top Performing Student for 2004.
He has since worked for a number of large corporate and government bodies including: Local Government, KAZ Group Pty Ltd and Harbour IT Pty Ltd.
While in the industry he has gained experience as a front line analyst as well as a project manager, Senior Analyst, process and work flow analyst, process documenter, process implementation manager, customer liaison and Team Leader.
He is ITIL qualified as well as having a strong grasp of support services and is an expert in Major Incident Management.
He has now decided to leave the hectic, pressure cooker environment of the city and bring big city experience and service to small to medium businesses while providing that small town feel.
Winston has worked in the IT industry since 1994, with his early years spent gaining an understanding of web design and computer hardware and software support.
He left university in 1998 and commenced working for a small computer firm as a support officer and eventually acting manager.
From there he was recruited by the Institute for Eye Research, where he spent 2 years working as the Graphics Technology Officer in their I-Media department.
In 2001, Winston then started working for the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) as a support officer and was quickly promoted to the position of Senior Systems Engineer, responsible for over 600 client machines and related infrastucture on a national level.
After working for APRA for three years, Winston decided to leave the corporate sector behind and applied to join the Australian Defence Force as an Officer. He spent a few years in the ADF and was unfortunately medically discharged in 2007 due to injury.
During his time in the ADF, Winston built a number of websites including the Royal Military College, the Royal Australian Naval College and the main Navy Sports website.
Winston has a solid understanding of a broad range of IT systems and has the grounded experience to ensure that all projects are managed efficiently and effectively.
